Leo Cady (1931-2018)

We are sad to report that Leo Cady passed away  August 11th  2018.  Born in New South Wales, Leo was a foundation member of the Australasian Native Orchid Society (ANOS) in 1963. He is a life member of the ANOS Illawarra Group.

He wrote the book Australian Native Orchids in Colour (1970),

“The New South Wales Government has drafted proposed changes to timber harvesting in the coastal forests, forests in which many of our native orchids grow.    Information about these plans can be found on their web site here: https://engage.environment.nsw.gov.au/forests?category=logging&tool=news_feed.

You will note that there is a public consultation period which will expire on 13th July so we have until that date to make submissions.
