Draft NSW sustainable management plans for the commercial use of protected plants were issued for public exhibition in October 2017.
Following review of submissions received, the 2018-2022 whole plant and cut flowers sustainable management plans have been approved by the Australian Government.
The approved plans and updated information about protected plant licensing are published on the OEH website.
At this month’s meeting we were notified that long standing member Regina Gunn will be moving from her house. A decision has been made to sell her collection of orchids which includes Cattleyas, Coelogynes, Cymbidiums, Den. Speciosum and some Paphiopedilums.
The sale will take place on Saturday 24th of February from 9am to 12pm at 123 Campbell St.
Alyssa Weinstein is a PhD student at ANU conducting an AOF funded research project investigating the ecology of Cryptostylis. She is requesting assistance by way of asking people who observe Cryptostylis in the field to complete a brief survey form. More info. is contained in the attached survey sheet.
